Assistance with health, protection and nutrition for children, adolescents and women in vulnerable situations through community brigades and the Comprehensive Care Centre for Children, Girls, Adolescents and Women
Description
The project guarantees the population access to essential health services by strengthening the operational and functional capacities of the target health centres located in the state of Venezuela.
More specifically, the CAINNAM project is structured around the following main lines of action:
To respond to priority needs related to communicable and non-communicable diseases, maternal, neonatal and child health, with an emphasis on community participation.
To ensure access of vulnerable population (specifically children, adolescents, lactating and pregnant women) to basic services such as water, sanitation and environmental hygiene within health facilities, educational institutions, learning spaces and community spaces.
To ensure access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene in vulnerable communities and empower the population to adopt appropriate practices regarding water treatment and conservation at home
To provide specialised assistance for the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of people affected by violence, exploitation, neglect and abuse.
To promote the empowerment of communities and families, provide specialised services to children, girls and adolescents to prevent, mitigate and respond to situations of violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation of children and young people.
