Description

Get up and goals! is a project funded by the European Union through the DEAR (DEvelopment Education and Awareness Raising) Programme for the three-year period 2017-2020 and aimed at supporting the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda in European schools. The project is implemented in 12 European countries through a 14-member partnership.

Target audience:

120 schools.
900 teachers directly involved.
9600 students aged 11 to 19.
20,000 teachers reached with an awareness campaign.
Hundreds of families, communities and local authorities and public opinion.

OBJECTIVES

Get up and goals! promotes the experimentation of new educational pathways by including four transversal themes of the 2030 Agenda in school curricula and subject lessons: gender inequalities, climate change, global migration and international inequalities.

Activities

Teacher training on the 2030 Agenda and global citizenship education.
Training and exchange of good disciplinary and interdisciplinary practices among teachers, at national and international level.
Experimentation of Learning Units and a global geo-history manual on SDGs-related topics in 120 European schools.
Awareness-raising actions on the SDGs addressed to local communities, carried out by pupils of the schools involved.
A European awareness campaign on global citizenship education, the UN 2030 Agenda and the free accessibility of the educational materials created by the project.
