Dear Visitatore,

The year 2023, which is coming to an end, marked an extraordinary milestone for CISP as it celebrated its fortieth anniversary. Four decades of dedication, humanitarian commitment, and tangible results in over 30 countries.
 
Since our inception, our mission has been firmly centered on the belief that genuine development cannot be separated from justice, the recognition of fundamental rights, and the inclusive participation of all. We have tirelessly worked – and continue to do so – for the right to health, education, life in safe and healthy environments, and a dignified income. Through the years our efforts have extended to support populations affected by conflicts and violence, addressing challenges related to child protection, preventing gender-based violence, and promoting inclusion for all, regardless of gender, religion, disability, or nationality.
 
Aware of the complexity of the contexts in which we work, we have constantly sought to innovate our approach and fields of intervention. We strive to uphold values while adapting our actions to the specific contexts in which we intervene. We have endeavored to boost local skills, champion culture as a driving force for sustainable development, and acknowledge the inseparable link between development and peace. Field presence and contributions to policy development have become fundamental pillars of our action strategy, committed to training local leaders capable of guiding development processes in harmony with the logic of human development.
 
Turning 40 has been significant. It was a moment of reflection and renewed momentum for the future. Throughout this year, we celebrated our organization and all the people who contribute to it every day through numerous events worldwide.
Thus, our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who have contributed to write our story over the last four decades: colleagues, partners, institutions, universities, associations, and other organizations. 
We extend a special thought to those who, unfortunately, are no longer with us but have left an indelible mark in the history and heart of CISP.
 
As we stand on the threshold of a new year, we, like everyone else, bear witness to a series of tragedies that threaten to overshadow the efforts of those who persistently seek to build a better world. However, we remain committed to persevering, even into 2024, with the help  of our friends and supporters. 
We aim to face global challenges with unwavering determination, channeling all our energy towards achieving possible and sustainable change.
CISP history has demonstrated, on numerous occasions, that positive change has been and continues to be achievable. Let it inspire us as we look to the future with hope and the determination to contribute further to the development of people around the world.
 
Only acting together, we can aspire to witness the transformative change in the world that we all desire.
